    For couriers

    Reception desk

    Normally, reception staff do not pick up parcels. The reason is simple: they have a multitude of tasks related to ensuring the safety of the building’s users, ensuring that their needs are taken care of and serving guests. However, if specifically requested in writing, they can pick up your parcels and notify you of this by phone.

    Pro tip

    When ordering a bulky delivery, provide the courier with the measurements of the hallways in your office. It would be unfortunate for them to get stuck along the way. It’s also a good idea to let him know what floor and route he is supposed to take.

    Small and medium-sized parcels

    Couriers with parcels that do not require the use of a trolley should enter via the main entrance or the entrance from the passage.

    Delivery zone

    All deliveries in either large quantities or of considerable size should be arranged so as not to interfere with building access by other users. There is some reciprocity to it: the users won’t impede the unloading and transfer of goods to their destination. Therefore, such operations can only be carried out after 6 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays. They must also be reported by email to the property manager and building security in advance. At least to avoid… another large delivery. The notification shall include the planned delivery date, details of the supplier and employees who will provide this service in the building, details of the weight, size and type of the equipment to be delivered, and details of the tenant representative responsible for coordinating the delivery.

    Large deliveries enter the building under the watchful eye of security staff via the side entrance. This ensures that the courier does not get stuck in the revolving door. Security staff also escort the courier to the cargo lift.

    PRO TIP

    Normally, standing in a designated parking spot leads to nasty consequences. Unless you are a courier! Therefore, please inform the delivery companies you work with that their employees should leave their vehicles precisely at the designated parking spot in the surface parking area.

    PRO TIP

    This may sound somewhat unorthodox, but couriers are expected to park their vehicles in our surface car park in spaces for people with disabilities. Yet there are plenty for the latter.

    The cargo lift has a large maximum load capacity. For Silesia Star, ‘large’ means exactly 800 kg. Be sure to mention this to your delivery service.
